Diving Lessons Winter Session 2
About Lessons
Lessons are structured for participants of ages 6-14 and will teach the basic fundamentals of springboard diving. They will include, but are not restricted to, stretching techniques, proper body alignment, body positions (tuck, pike and straight), how to properly enter the water head first (both front and back entry), front and back take-offs, variations of jumping positions, and front and back dives. These skills are gained on the diving board and will enable participants to progress towards more advanced dives.
How to Register?
Below is the schedule for the Winter Session 2, Spring Session, Summer Session and Summer Dive Camps. To register click on the link "Register Here" next to the lesson you wish to sign up for. You will be then taken to a registration form to fill out. At the completion of the form press Submit. You will be redirected to "Google Checkout" to process your payment. At this point you may choose to pay via credit card or you can close your browser and bring a check made out "WSAC" to the first day of lessons. When you press submit on the form we will receive your registration information whether you choose to pay online or not. You may choose to sign-up for more than one night of lessons if so desired. Please note that Monday & Thursday lessons has a limit of 8 participants, Wednesday lessons will have a limit of 16 participants. Divers will not be allowed to participate until payment is received.
USA Diving Registration
Starting this fall all lesson participants are required to have a limited membership with USA Diving in order to participate. Registration is completed online at the USA Diving Website (www.usadiving.org) at a cost of $12. Registration is good from September 1, 2012 - August 31, 2013. This needs to be completed before the first day of lessons. Once you register for dive lessons below you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to complete the USA Diving registration.
