The boilers were connected and turned on in the YMCA's basement on Friday, 10/17. However they were running too hot and turned off. On Tuesday, 10/21 the boilers were adjusted and turned on again and the hot water started to heat the air in the Schroeder pool and its water. The low temp was about 68 degrees when the heating began. Today, Thursday, 10/23 at 7:00 PM it is at 72.3. At this rate the water will likely be swimmable Sunday or Monday next week

Brown Deer Report - briefly - the storefronts that had been Office Max, Kohls, Michaels are being demolished. A Target will be constructed to the south, later shops ground level and housing above to the north. The areas where McDonalds was and 2 more to the south will be developed like the one which is Kitchen & Cocktails. The two banks on the corners have been bought and will eventually be redeveloped. It will take some time but think of the intersection of GB rd and Mequon rd.
